Make a healthy weight loss choice next time you are looking for a snack. I noticed that a lot of the time women are forced to eat on the run. Next time, choose some of these for your weight loss snack instead of being tempted by the junk food.
A lot of the time it takes a bit of preparation to make healthy weight loss choices when you are looking for a snack. However, in this post we will look at some of the options that are open for women who are really pressed for time but want to make a good weight loss choice.
1 - Fruit
As I always say, it is ok to make fruit a whole meal. It is full of nutrients, vitamins and all sorts of other things that the human body needs. There is nothing at all wrong with grabbing a few pieces of fruit to have as your weight loss snack.

2 - Protein Shake
I know it sounds a bit horrible but homemade protein shakes can taste pretty good and are excellent weight loss choices. Just blend some eggs, milk, honey, banana and protein poweder and leave it in the fridge for when you need a quick snack.
3 - Fruit Juice
Homemade, fresh juice from a juicer is also a healthy weight loss snack idea. Bottled juice isn’t healthy enough as it is “killed” during the heating process. Fresh fruit or vegetable juice is an amazing idea for health and weight loss.
Tip - Add a chop of ginger to boost your immune system every time you make a juice.
4 - Nuts
Nuts are full of essential omega 3 and 6 oild and as such are an excellent snack for the middle of the day. Keep a few in your work desk drawer or your car glove box if you feel like a snack. I find that I only need a few unsalted nuts to satisfy a quick hunger pain.
Mix a lot of nuts together to make it more nutritional and tasty. I usually make a mix of:
5 - Dried Fruit
Dried fruit (if done properly) can be very healthy. Make sure you get it from a health food store and make sure it doesn’t have any addeed sulphar. Dried fruit actually has a lot of fiber in it which is great from cancer prevention and for your bowels.
At my local store they have an amazing range beyond the boring old dried apricots like paw paw, mango, peach, apple, pineapple, guava, lychee… the all taste amazing!
6 - Tabouleeh
I have been getting into this stuff a lot lately. It is an excellent quick snack and it is made from really healthy ingredients like heaps of parsely, chopped onions, lemon, tomato, etc. Very easy to make a big batch from home grown vegetables and leave it in the fridge.
7 - Soup
Make a big bowl of vegetable soup and leave it in the fridge for your next snack. You can have as many vegetables as you like and you will not break your weight loss rules. Pre-cooking foods that will last a week or two is a great way to avoid temptations.
Make sure you include lots of vegetables in your soup to maximize the nutritional value:
Whatever you can think of chuck it in there. If you use a tomato based recipe it will still probably taste good.
I’d love to hear of any more healthy weight loss snacks that readers are eating!

| Dave Tuborg said: | I usually eat fruit, vegetables and nuts. I used to think that nuts were fattening. Now I do not think so. I see that you recommend them. Also, I know that other experts recommend nuts. For example, http://www.actabit.com/diet-nutrition/how-to-use-snacks-to-help-you-lose-weight It is important, however, to remember that moderation is the key especially when snacking. |
