7 Small Ways to Boost Every Woman's Weight Loss

In the weight loss battle it is always a good idea to equip yourself with as many tips and strategies as possible. This post will give you 7 small things you can do to boost that weight loss progress.

7 Ways to boost every woman’s weight loss

A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step - Chinese proverb. These small steps will all add up in your weight loss journey.

1. Don’t eat before bed
This tip is an oldie but a goodie. It is very important not to eat any food within two hours of bed. As your body slows down when your sleep there will be no immediate use for the energy in your body and it will get converted and stored as fat.

2. Exercise after dinner
Following on from number one, if you exercise after dinner you will burn up a few nasty calories that might otherwise get stored on your hips. Don’t make it too intense though as you might bring your whole dinner back up! A light walk with the dog is perfect.

3. Eat more vegetables
Vegetables are a fat burnng food. They burn calories while they digest. The thing I am really interested in though is replacing pastas and breads with vegetables. This is a sure way to reduce the waistline and stay healthy all year round.

4. Cut out sodas
In this day an age of obesity and cancer and heart disease I really don’t know why anyone drinks sodas. It is what is know as “empty calories” in that it is full of sugar but provides no nutritional benefit. Calories are fine if they come along with vitamins and minerals and so on like fruit and vegetables. But, as we know, it takes 20 minutes on the treadmill to burn of a can of Coke. Cut it out and watch the difference.

5. Eat more often
Three big meals a day as is tradition in most western families is a good way to slow down your metabolism. A better idea is to have six or seven meals a day (smaller ones!) so that your digestive system and metabolism are always ticking over and burning calories. This helps weight loss a huge amount.

6. Replace a cardio session with weights
If you aren’t much of a weight trainer you should replace one of your cardio sessions with a weights session. Weights boost the immune system and keep your metabolism cranking during the day. Adding muscle also helps to burn fat so your diet and cardio work will be more effective.

7. Don’t stress
Go to the spa. Have a facial. Relax. Stress is the number one reason women over eat. If you can control the stress you will be more likely to succeed at your weight loss goals.
