With the Spice Girls getting back together for a world tour, I felt it might be time to consider adding them to my playlist.
During the Spice Girls phenomena I loathed their peppy, in-your-face style of pop music, but in retrospect, those energetic rhythms and catchy melodies seem more fun than annoying - perhaps because they are not being shoved down our throats every two seconds like they were in the late nineties/early noughties.

| Molly said: | Be dead honest Peta - did you really listen to those songs before you wrote the article? Man I hate the spice girls. |
| Jane said: | Molly - what you on about girl? The Spice Girls are one of the top selling female groups ever. They rock! Another great post Peta. Jane |
| Peta said: | He he! Yes Molly, suprisingly I couldn't remember all the Spice Girls songs, I had to go back and re-introduce myself to them. Some of those songs bring back great teenage memories. I can understand both the love and the hate of the SGs. my motto: everything in moderation. thanks jane, glad you liked it. |
| Big Ed said: | Tell you what, isn't music like U2 just simply better for running? Or, Foreigner or Journey - even Bon Jovi? Maybe it's all personal - but I can't stand some of the trance music the gyms play these days! |
| peta said: | Me neither Big Ed, really not a dance fan. I'll leave you to the 80s rock too, although I do enjoy it very occasionally. |
| Big Ed said: | Thanks Peta... I might have to put in some Guns N Roses though :-) |
| MD said: | Victoria Beckham actually has quite a number of solo songs that make good workout material: "I Wish," "Out of Your Mind," "Not Such an Innocent Girl," "Let Your Head Go," and "This Groove" are a good start. |
